Prepping means being prepared for emergencies and shortages of any kind:

  • Inability to shop for food and supplies
  • Power Outages (especially over long periods of time)
  • Water Shortages
  • Evacuations in case of Fires, Floods etc
  • or similar.

With the changing times we find ourselves in, prepping has become very important. In a case of emergency, if you are not prepared you have to rely on others. Problem is that others might not be able to help you.

You Need to Come First

Just like on an airplane, in a case of emergency (i.e. drop in pressure) you need to take care of yourself first. This is not to be selfish, but because you will pass out in about 10 seconds time. When you are unconscious you cannot help anyone else. So, an important rule is: First, help yourself!

Once all your/your family's basic needs are met, you can share with others and in fact, you should. This includes supplies, but also knowledge and ease. Having a robust community will ease the burden on each member considerably, and will help you stay calm in a case of emergency.

So What Do I need?

This is the most common question, and one we cannot answer for you. Everyone's needs are different, and everyone has to create their own list. HOWEVER we CAN help you ask the right questions.
